96th anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's first visit to Shillong celebrated

 

Netaji admirers of Shillong observed 96th anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's first visit to Shillong at NETAJI PATHAGAR of Rilbong  on 12th June  2023. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose  set his first foot at Shillong on this day.  He came to Shillong at the age of 30 to recover his ill health after he was released from  Insin jail of  Burma. He stayed at Kelsal Lodge at Oakland Shillong.  The bungalow is now the official residence of CGM BSNL.  Netaji admirers requested State  Government of Meghalaya to declare that bungalow as heritage site after the memory of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
