Meghalaya student dies after pickup van and auto collide in Rajasthan's Gangrar


 

A pickup van rammed the auto from behind in Rajasthan's Gangrar area. Five passengers including the driver sitting in the auto were seriously injured. One of them, a student resident of Meghalaya, died. Three of the passengers were students of Mewar University.

Gangrar SHO Ratan Singh said that 3 students hired an auto from Gangrar bus stand to go to Mewar University, which already had another ride. As soon as the auto reached a culvert about a kilometer before the university, it was hit by a speeding pickup from behind. It collided with the auto divider and got crooked. Sitting behind the auto, the three students of Mewar University jumped and fell away. While there the driver and another passenger fell down.

After hitting the pickup car, he also went ahead and overturned but the pickup driver escaped. The five were taken to Gangrar Hospital where both the girl students were referred to Chittor as their condition was critical. Meghalaya student Mil Siang died after reaching Chittor. While riding in the auto, Thamba daughter Karol Mill Siang Meghalaya, Sujita Dmark daughter Athom resident Shillong, Meghalaya, Mohammad Imtiaq son Ghulam Mustafa resident Paon Khali, Kishanganj, Bihar, another passenger Laxman Lal (45) son Babulal resident of Badwa station, Gangrar and Auto driver Amir Khan (47) son Akram Khan Pathan resident station, Gangrar was seriously injured.
