The Best Grass Root Model


 Bibek Bora, Founder of SEWA Organisation, Jorhat was awarded “The Best Grass Root Model” (Category: Social Entrepreneurship). The certificate was handed by Indira Murty, Joint Secretary, MOES, Govt of India, in presence of Dr. Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth sciences, N P Rajive, ED, Vibha Vani India, Dr. Atul Narayan Vaidya, Director, CSIR-NEERI and Indu Puri, DST-SEED. During the valedictory function of National Social Organisational and Institutional meet (NSIOM) Event, India International Science Festival which was held at Goa from 11-13th December 2021.

“SEWA (itself means service to the society) is a nongovernmental organisation and empowerment oriented service. It is an organisation of poor, vulnerable and every energetic Indian who believes in himself and has the courage to work to turn their big dream into reality”, founder Bibek Bora says, serving the Society is always been my dream and when we started the organisation seven years back from now we promised ourselves to stick to the development of our native people. He further added “I am extremely thankful to IISF-NSOIM for introducing such remembrance which eventually helps us to grow more and serve the society for such noble cause”.
We started delivering our contribution and responsibilities to every possible segments and the main motive behind this is to strengthening the lives of poor or vulnerable section of the society through various approaches like skill development program on advance techniques of farming, socioeconomic development through various industry oriented training program, social security, educational or cultural, research and development and most importantly developing safe environment for our future.
