It is hereby informed that yesterday at around 3:30pm, based on reliable information, a suspect was apprehended from Civil Hospital, Shillong for his alleged involvement in the recent incident of placing an IED in front of National People’s Party (NPP) office.

In the course of investigation, the suspect admitted to his role and also stated that he is a member of the proscribed militant outfit HNLC. Incriminating evidence have been seized from his possession, and investigation of the case is in progress to arrest the accused persons involved in the crime.
