FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0 to commemorate the "Aza di Ka Amrit Mahotsav
FIT India Mission has conceptualized FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0 to commemorate the
"Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav". ICAR Research complex for NEH Region took part of in the
nationwide campaign on the concept of “Physical/Virtual Run” on the 1st of Oct 2021 at 7.30
am at the Residential Complex of ICAR Research. Dr V. K Mishra Director of the institute
flagged off the run at 7.30 am from the Residential Complex of ICAR. Addressing the
gathering he said that the concept of healthy lifestyle should be incorporated into the younger
minds at a very tender age. It is of great importance that we prioritise our health. He highly
appreciated the noble initiative taken by our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi
to make a healthy India. A pledge was also taken by the participants to make effort towards a
healthy lifestyle. Through a healthy body we can have a healthy mind and a healthy society
and a healthier India.
The institute also celebrated Hindi Ullas forthnight, which was from 14 th -30 th
September, 2021. Mr. Deepak Kumar, IPS, Director, NEPA graced the chair as Chief Guest
for the inaugural function. Thorough out the fortnight various competitions were organised
like debate, extempore, noting writing competition, scientific articles presentation
competition (through PPT) and one Hindi Workshop was organised to increase the usage of
Hindi in day to day official communications. Dr. S.P Aggarwal, Director, NESAC graced the
closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. The entire programme was observed under the
Chairmanship of Dr.V.K.Mishra, Director, ICAR RC for NEH Region and conducted by Mr.
R.D. Sharma, Deputy Director (OL), ICAR RC for NEH Region. With the ongoing Covid 19
situation the covid protocols were strictly followed.
