The hill state of Meghalaya is blessed with the footprints of Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and others.

Swami Vivekananda stayed in Kailash Chandra Das's house at Batti Bazar  Laban Shillong in April - May  1901 for few days. The house has been demolished. Now the place is covered with threes  and bushes. The memorial Plaque  is needed renovation.
The place is now under litigation for the last few years.

Rabindranath Tagore stayed in Brookside bungalow at Rilbong Shillong in October 1919 for few days. The heritage place is under the ownership of the State Government of Meghalaya. Tagore's statue was installed in May 2011 and "Rabindranath Tagore Art Gallery"("Rabindra Art Gallery" was opened in January 1992 for the first time at Brookside)  was opened in October 2013 by the State Government of Meghalaya during Hon'ble President of India late Shri Pranab Mukherjee's visit to the bungalow.
The memorial  Plaque at Brookside, Tagore  Statue and back side portion of the Brookside bungalow needs  renovation  and maintenance(pictures enclosed).

The heritage "Jitbhoomi bungalow"  where Rabindranath Tagore  visited in May - June 1923  for few days has changed it's hand. Now it's owner is Dr Debashis Das and his family. From Shri Bimal Chakraborty they bought the property. Jitbhoomi got new gorgeous look after the renovation of the house by it's new owner.  The great news is that the the owner has installed a statue of Tagore.
But the heritage plaque has been changed by the owner. The original  look has been changed(the pictures of the original plaque enclosed).

The heritage "Solomon Villah" where Rabindranath Tagore stayed in May - June  1927 for few days was demolished by the new owner in 2010. The memorial plaque was also demolished. A huge building is set up in that place ( original picture of the house and the plaque are enclosed).

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stayed in "Kelsall Lodge" at Okland Shillong. It is intact. Now it is under the ownership of BSNL. The original form/look (photo enclosed) is intact.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stayed in Bidhan Bhawan at Laban Shillong in June 1929. The house is in it's original form. It is now under the ownership of the State Government of Meghalaya. It is in it's original form/look(picture enclosed).

Netaji stayed in "Ashley Hall" at Okland Shillong in September  1938. Maximum portion has been demolished by it's present owner Shri Harish Mordani and family ( original Ashley Hall, picture enclosed). New building has made in that place(picture enclosed).

It is very important to save the heritage sites in it's original form and look by the State Government of Meghalaya by heritage law.
It is also the responsibility of the owner of the heritage property  to preserve the memories and heritages before changing the original look and form.

My humble request to you kindly to publish the news so that these subject matter could come to the notice of the Government of Meghalaya and concerned public.
