One arrested in connection with IED plant Meghalaya

The Meghalaya Police on Wednesday arrested a person in connection with the seizure of a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the NPP office. It is to be known that on Monday, the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was kept in a bag at the NPP office located in Lower Lachumier area here, whose responsibility was taken by the banned organization HNLC.

 

Police said that in this connection this man was caught from Umphyrnai village, which is 25 km from the capital Shillong, on Wednesday night, the police have not yet disclosed his identity. The police said that the direct hand of the arrested person is being told (IED) that the police is now interrogating that person in this context.
