BSF FOILED SMUGGLING ATTEMPTS, SEIZED 29 CATTLE IN 24 HOURS


 In its commitment towards making the International Border crime free, BSF Meghalaya on 14th and 15th May 2022, seized 29 cattle from bordering areas of East Khasi Hills, West Jiantia and East Jantia Hills districts of Meghalaya, which were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.

The cattle were being brought clandestinely to the Border area through forest by miscreants when BSF intercepted them. In Rattachera area, cattle were being carried close to International Boundary in a truck which was also confiscated by BSF. The seized cattle were handed over to concerned police outposts for further disposal.

 BSF is maintaining high degree of alertness on the International Border to maintain National security as well as to prevent all kind of trans-border crimes and illegal activities.
