 Meghalaya Foodgrains (Public Distribution) Control Order 

Shillong, September 29, 2021: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that under the provision of the Clause 20,21 Part ‘B’ of the Meghalaya Foodgrains (Public Distribution) Control Order 2004, the term of all the existing Fair Price Shop Dealers (Urban & Rural) Centres will expire on the 31-12-2021.

           Fair Price Shop Dealers (Renewal/ Replacement) within East Khasi Hills District are informed to submit their applications through their respective headman and for Rural areas to be recommended by respective Block Development Officer in prescribed Form I affixed with a court fee stamp of Rs.14/- only for renewal of the same for the calendar year 2022.

           The application form should be submitted along with the photocopy of Epic, Aadhaar, Bank Account, mobile no., 2 nos. recent passport size photo, resolution of the village Dorbar and Vigilance Committee constituted for the year 2022.

           As per the revised guidelines for Fair Price Shop (Qualification for a Fair Price Shop Dealer) the Headman/village Secretary including member of the Executive Committee they cannot hold as a Fair Price Shop dealer but can be Chairman/Secretary or member of the Village Vigilance Committee constituted within their jurisdiction.

           Application duly filled should be submitted on or before the 29th October, 2021 to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District. All the above documents are mandatory and of utmost importance. Hence, any application(s) will be automatically be rejected without the attachment of these requirements.

The office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District will not held any responsibility for applications received after due date. (MIPR)
