 BSF NABS 19 BANGLADESHI INCLUDING 02 TOUTS FOR ILLEGALLY CROSSING INDIA-BANGLA BORDER MEGHALAYA |

Troops of BSF Meghalaya Frontier foiled an attempt of illegal crossing of Bangladesh Nationals into India at East Khasi Hills District and apprehended 19 Bangladeshi nationals (13 male, 03 female & 03 children) including 02 Bangladeshi touts on 27 Sep ‘2021.

2.      Acting on specific intelligence, troops of Border Out Post Rynkhua, 123 Bn BSF launched an ambush at the suspected unfenced route near Indo-Bangladesh International border. At about 1530 hrs BSF party observed suspicious movements of some people near the IB. The party nabbed 19 Bangladesh Nationals including 02 touts while illegally crossing through unfenced area under BOP Rynkhua. Apprehended BD nationals are

(i)          Mijan Miya, (46 yrs)( BD Touts)

(ii)        Md Rubel, (20 yrs) (BD Touts)

(iii)       Dinesh Islam,(30 yrs)

(iv)       Md Saji Rahman, (22 yrs)

(v)         Sarjah, (22 yrs), s/o Md Iddisau

(vi)       Sahid Miya, (25 yrs)

(vii)     Jahinara, (23 yrs, female)

(viii)    Abzure, (03 yrs, male child)

(ix)       Jorina Begum, (30 yrs, female)

(x)         Kabir Hussain, (39 yrs)

(xi)       Hanif Akhtar Kona, (02 yrs, male child)

(xii)     Rakheer, (15 yrs, male child)

(xiii)   Nazima, (26 yrs, female)

(xiv)    Zamil Hussain,(30 yrs)

(xv)      Aminul, (32 yrs)

(xvi)    Md.Inush Adil, (22 yrs)

(xvii)  Safiq, (20 yrs)

(xviii) Md.Ishubali, (20 yrs)

(xix)    Md. Amununin Islam

All are resident of Distt. Sunamganj, Banglafdesh.

3.      During preliminary questioning, apprehended BD nationals revealed before BSF that one of the apprehended BD Touts facilitated them in crossing of IB from BD to India with the intention to take them to Kashmir (India) for labour work. The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are being handed over to concerned police station for further legal actions.

 

4.     Sh Inderjit Singh Rana, Inspector General, BSF, Meghalaya Frontier said that, troops of Meghalaya Frontier have been maintaining extra vigil at vulnerable areas of Meghalaya Border where chances of infiltration exists. He also appreciated the troops who carried out the special drive to foil the attempt of infiltration by Bangladeshi nationals.
