 BSF SEIZED CATTLE AND COSMETIC ITEMS AT INTERNATIONAL BORDER



In the constant endeavor to maintain the sanctity of the International border and prevent trans-border crimes/smuggling along the Indo-Bangladesh border with Meghalaya,  Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier in the night intervening 16th  and 17th November 2021 seized cattle’s, trucks and cosmetics items and other miscellaneous items worth  RS. 57,65,538/-.

2.      The BSF party intercepted and caught 02 trucks crammed with 56 cattle heads from Rattachara and Kuliang area of East Khasi Hills and East Jaintia Hills district. However, the driver and co-driver of the trucks managed to escaped leaving behind the truck. The seized cattle and trucks are amounting to Rs.39,93,600/-.  In another incident BSF party seized 10800 nos of Cardila Skin ceam worth Rs. 15,66,000/- in AOR of Umsyiem.       

3.      BSF has stepped up its special drive against smuggling and illegal intruders and has intensified its operations on the Indo-Bangladesh Border to prevent nefarious design of trans-border criminals in bordering areas of Meghalaya State. Public Relation Officer of BSF Ftr HQ Meghalaya stated that such type of operations will continue against smugglers along the Indo-Bangladesh border of Meghalaya.
