One Dead, 2 Injured After Lightning Strikes Tree in GolfLink Shillong

One person was killed and two others were injured when lightning struck a tree at Golflinks in Shillong on Sunday, August 21.. According to the information received, the three friends were playing football at GolfLink Golf Course when it started raining heavily. To escape the rain, he took shelter under a pine tree. Then suddenly the lightning struck and all three fell on the ground.

All three have been shifted to the civil hospital, where one of them was declared brought dead by the medical officer. The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Nonglang (37), a resident of Mavalai Umjaiur.
